This EP was born out of frustration. I had been stuck in production hell with the Sex is Disgusting EP and couldn't seem to escape the rut. That all changed after returning home from Primavera Festival 2016 where inspiration instructed me to quickly record something completely different to reinvigorate my creative juices.
The approach was simple: compose songs entirely around piano licks. The fact that I had no idea how to play the piano meant absolutely nothing to me, I just wanted to do this. And, in the end, it was an alright product, a happy little EP where each song was written about a different girl I know featuring the best album artwork I've ever put together. Is it my greatest work? Far from it. But that was never the point. The point was that, after a three-year strain, my musical flame was roaring again, and several months later, I finished the Sex EP too, no problemo.
