Sectlinefor - Anoerxic Insect
Band Album, Progressive Industrial Metal, 2017
Sectlinefor's debut was a strong record, but I can hear how hard we were trying. The compositions are arrogantly complex and my vocals are doing everything they can to be what I thought the band wanted. I was pushing for a dark cinematic quality, void of much of my signature humour while flexing stylistic changes in a desperate attempt to keep up with Piton's insane guitar work. We've both calmed down a lot since then.
We gigged a lot around London to support this album and so it will always have a solid place of pride in my heart. But I still hear it as the first step down a path where we got much better.
