As Coming Down Happy was mostly a genre-amalgamation project around the early 2010s, I decided to specify down a completely separate path for this EP. The purpose was one of reflection; the inspiration of a particularly potent bout of heartbreak was running anarchy through my system, crying to be exorcised using these melancholic self-loathing sad tracks. No hiding behind elaborate concepts. No burying off-key vocals with strange effects.
What came out was the most personal, most genuine, and most Jared release I may ever be able to achieve. And of all my recorded musical endeavours ever, this one has received the most loving feedback, easily.
